We’re an independently owned and operated Kingswell company, which means the people who show up at your door in San Jose are the same people who answer the phone, write the scope, and stand behind the work. No rotating subcontractors. No mystery crews. Just a local team of background-checked, uniformed technicians who’ve spent years pulling water out of Willow Glen split-levels, drying out Japantown bungalows, and rebuilding fire-damaged kitchens in Almaden Valley. Carl Brandt started this in 2005, and he still walks jobs himself.

Carl Brandt, Owner

Carl founded Dryden Restoration San Jose in 2005 and still runs the place like a restoration company should be run: price on paper before the first fan gets plugged in, a real arrival window, and a written 365-Day Done Right Promise on every single job. He’s the one who walks complicated losses, meets insurance adjusters on site, and makes the final call when something doesn’t look right. When he’s not on a job, he’s usually at the shop arguing with a dehumidifier that should have been retired two seasons ago. He’ll tell you the same thing he tells his techs: say the price before the work, show up when you said, and leave the place cleaner than you found it. That’s The Kingswell Way, and Carl treats it like a contract, not a slogan.

Marcus T., Lead Water Damage Technician

Marcus has been with Dryden for nine years and runs most of the water mitigation work in San Jose. He’s IICRC-certified in water damage restoration and handles the technical side of psychrometric drying, which is just the science of getting actual moisture out of building materials, not just drying the surface. He can walk into a flooded garage in Rose Garden and tell you within ten minutes whether the drywall needs to come out or whether the Injectidry system can save it. Marcus is the guy who calls you from the truck to say he’s twelve minutes out, and he means it.

Elena R., Mold Remediation Specialist

Elena leads our mold remediation work and has the patience for the jobs most people dread: attics with chronic condensation, crawl spaces with hidden growth, bathrooms that looked fine until the baseboard came off. She’s trained to RIA and IICRC standards and documents everything with photos, which matters when you’re dealing with an insurance claim. Outside of work, Elena keeps a garden that has no business thriving in a San Jose summer, which tells you something about her attention to detail and stubbornness. She treats every containment setup like a science project, because it basically is.

Danny P., Senior Installer and Rebuild Technician

Danny handles the reconstruction side of the business: drywall, baseboards, paint, flooring, the stuff that turns a dried-out room back into a room. He’s been with Dryden since 2016 and has rebuilt everything from a fire-damaged office on The Alameda to a water-damaged master bath in Berryessa. Danny is the reason our 365-Day Done Right Promise rarely gets used, because he’d rather redo a corner bead on his own time than have a customer find it later. He’s also the crew’s unofficial lunch strategist, and his taco truck recommendations are scarily accurate.
